Normative Institute for Development and Support (NIDS) is a non government organisation (NGO) working for children living in underserved rural areas of various parts of West Bengal.

We have various National, International donors and local communities as partners to strengthen the capacity of the deprived children from rural background. We aim at supporting the children on education, health and nutrition grounds


NIDS is a non-profit non-government organisation (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act 1961 in India.

We started our journey from 29th June, 2015. NIDS is located in southern part of Kolkata, West Bengal. We run our operation in two districts of West Bengal - South 24 Parganas and Murshidabad with around 2350 beneficiaries who are assisted by nearly 100 professionals of NIDS.

Normative Institute for Development and Support (NIDS) strives for development of society by facilitating the poor and disadvantaged section of the community towards prosperity in socio-economic and cultural aspects by taking up various development projects and programmes which would commensurate with the needs and environmental adaptability. Team NIDS has worked hard keeping in mind our Vision and Mission to bring visible and sustainable changes in the society. The various thematic areas of work that NIDS has undertaken till now involves Education, Health, Child rights and Protection, Environment, Awareness generation etc.
